Description

At the tender age of three, a girl from Floaroma town was stolen away by a Drifloon and swept upon a breeze to Eterna forest. Trapped beneath the canopy of the trees, the girl and her newfound companion wandered through the night in search of shelter, whereupon they encountered the abandoned mansion known locally as the Old Chateau. Surprisingly, the girl settled well into her new life living amongst the ghost-types who inhabited the manor. She was never short of wild berries to eat, and stole regularly from travellers under the cover of night to keep herself clothed and healthy. Her kidnapper spent ten long years at her side, oftentimes trapped between the old rafters of the building and constantly having to ward off nests of angered Zubat it happened to stray upon.

One day, an adventurer made their way up to the Chateau. After much deliberation, they ventured in, and found much to their surprise that the rumoured "ghosts" of the manor consisted of the feral girl and her Pokemon. The adventurer offered to take the girl back to her home town of Floaroma, in the hopes that her parents would be reunited with their long-lost daughter. Upon agreeing, and retrieving her Drifloon from a ceiling alcove it had found itself stuck in three days ago, she and the adventurer made their way back to the village.

They stood on the doorstep of a house the girl had not seen in over a decade, and she knocked apprehensively. Her mother, recognisable to the girl almost immediately, opened the door and smiled, though not in the way she had expected. It was as if she didn't know who she was. As if she were looking at something not really there; a passing glance at a stranger.

Carefully, the adventurer explained why they were there, and the girl's mother listened intently to their story. To the girl's dismay, her mother still couldn't recognise her, even with her kidnapper grasped firmly in her hand and her pleads to be seen going unheard completely. Her mother seemed to collect herself a moment, when the tale had come to an end, and said in a calm and clear voice,
"But dear, there's nobody here but us."

And seemingly, as she uttered the words, the girl became invisible to the adventurer too. They frowned, as if waking from a dream, and hastily stood, apologising for bothering the lady, and that they didn't know what they were talking about. A feral girl living in an old haunted mansion? Preposterous. It was just a ghost story after all.

Leaving in tow with the adventurer, the girl was too confused to cry or speak, and she watched dumbfoundedly as they simply walked off without a word, leaving her all alone with her purple companion. She knocked on the doors of the other houses, asking for help, but whenever an occupant would answer the door, they would simply look past her and then retreat back into their homes. Any passersby she appealed to would stop and shiver, as if feeling a chill, and then walk on as if she didn't even exist.

All the while over the weeks and months that followed, the girl came to realise her unfortunate situation. And with each passing moment in her revelation, she grew to despise her kidnapper more and more for what it had done to her. Blinded by her hatred and vicious sense of justice, she tethered the Drifloon to herself so that it would never perform the same misdeed on another vulnerable child, and from that day forth pulled it along with her wherever she went, wandering alone in solitude for the rest of her days.

So, this is Victoria. Maybe some of you recognise her semblance to one of my FBOCT characters? After I did Malcolm's mascot, I decided I had to do a few more, and since I've never really shown Vicky to any of you lot, I thought she could make her debut here.

She has a ghost-type team, though interestingly, her Drifblim, Marmaduke, doesn't actually belong to her. Instead of keeping it in a Pokeball like the rest of her team, she keeps it bound to her by a rope tether... Odd, isn't it? But I'm sure her reasons are well-intentioned, whatever they are...
