The Blue County

A popular route for Marauder airships, the Blue County is an odd, virtually lifeless environment. The distinct blue colouration is due to microscopic spores that fill the air continuously. They settle on whatever surface they happen to land on, and in merely a matter of hours, can give the substrate a tinted blue hue. Nobody's quite sure where the spores originate from, but it's said that the strange pillars that litter the lands are the cause. The only other organism that inhabits this place are a particular species of ladybird, who feed on the more developed spores. Unusually, their shells are resistant to the spores, smooth enough that they just slip off.

Spent my last 6 hours of work effort doing this illustration as a backdrop for my CV. Ideally, I'd like to start building a portfolio of these illustrations and get them sent off to some studios.

Out of curiousity, what would you guys pay if you were commissioning an illustration like this?
